When should we choose Inventory?
Choose Inventory when your main job is keeping physical stock accurate across locations: receiving, transfers, counts and replenishment. It works on its own, including supplier POs and receiving. Add Procurement when buying also needs formal requisitions, sourcing, department budgets and approval chains.
Can the agents change stock on their own?
Only if you allow it. Auto-reorder is off by default, and when you turn it on you set a maximum amount and the categories it may touch. Anything outside that is proposed for a person to approve.
How do our own AI agents connect?
Point any MCP client, such as Claude, at the app's MCP endpoint with an API key from Settings. The key only works for your team, and each tool call is checked against the permissions of the person who created it.
Does it work with the procurement app?
Yes. Connect Procurement for requisitions, supplier sourcing, budget controls and approval workflows. Inventory also has its own suppliers, purchase orders and receiving, so you can start with it alone.
